SAP Evaluator Training

Post-Disaster Safety Assessment Program (SAP) Training for Evaluators

Join us for a webinar on April 12, 2023, from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM and April 13, 2023 from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Registrants must attend both days to be eligible for DSW ID Card.

The Safety Assessment Program (SAP) utilizes mutual aid resources and volunteers such as professional engineers, architects, and certified building inspectors to assist local governments to perform post disaster safety assessments of buildings and lifelines. The SAP is managed by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) with cooperation from professional organizations including SEAOC, AIA, ASCE & ACIA. Cal OES will issue Disaster Service Worker (DSW) ID cards to all professionally licensed volunteers who have completed the SAP Evaluator training. Those who are not yet licensed can still attend the SAP Evaluator training but will only receive a certificate from Cal OES.  Individuals may contact Cal OES when they become licensed in order to receive a DSW ID card.

For more information on the Cal OES Safety Assessment Program, please visit:  Recovery Safety Assessment Program (ca.gov)
