Please save the date for our next Seismology committee meeting, which will feature a presentation by Nathan Caney, Ph. D., P. E., on a new prescriptive new building design procedure using fluid viscous dampers that has been developed, validated, and published with certification from the International Code Council. Dr. Caney is the Director of Structural Engineering at Taylor Devices, Inc. (TDI). Feel free to invite other SEAOCC members to attend.
